By creating an account or using ReleaseLab ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization (such as a record label), you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
ReleaseLab is a cloud-based platform for independent record labels and artists to manage music releases, track pipeline tasks, collaborate with team members, manage contracts, and track financial data including revenues and costs. The Service is provided on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) basis.
To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. You may not share account credentials or allow others to access your account.
You retain all rights to the content you upload, including but not limited to audio files, artwork, metadata, contracts, and financial records ("Your Content"). By uploading content to ReleaseLab, you grant us a limited license to store, process, display, and transmit Your Content solely as necessary to provide the Service. We will not sell, license, or distribute Your Content to third parties.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to upload any content, including music recordings, artwork, and associated metadata.
ReleaseLab operates as a multi-tenant platform. Each label account operates in isolation. Data belonging to one label is never accessible to users of another label. We maintain strict technical controls to enforce this separation.
You agree not to:
The Service includes a task portal feature that generates token-based links for external collaborators (such as designers, engineers, and other freelancers). These links provide limited, time-bound access to specific task information without requiring account creation. You are responsible for sharing these links only with intended recipients.
ReleaseLab allows you to record revenues, costs, and contract terms. This data is provided by you and stored as entered. ReleaseLab does not verify the accuracy of financial data, does not provide tax advice, and is not a substitute for professional accounting services. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of financial records and any tax obligations.
We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance that temporarily limits access. We will provide reasonable notice of planned maintenance when possible.
You may close your account at any time. Upon account closure, we will retain your data for 30 days to allow for recovery, after which it will be permanently deleted. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReleaseLab and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.
